The ovarian stimulation used in in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) is a medical issue with extensive bioethical repercussions, since it may increase the risk of gynaecological cancers. Now, however, a large study that included 178,396 women has confirmed that the ovarian stimulation performed in IVF does not increase this risk (Reprod Biomed Online, 31; 20-29,2015), which is of undoubted interest to women undergoing these procedures.
