A new bill has been presented in the English Parliament to approve assisted suicide in England and Wales. This bill is very similar to the one in effect in Oregon in the United States, which allows doctors to prescribe a lethal drug to patients who have been given less than six months to live (BMJ 2014; 348: g3798). Another step against the gift of life.
