Educational Opportunities in Bioethics

Information on educational programs in bioethics is included in the National Reference Center for Bioethics Literature's International Bioethics Organizations Database. Searches can be conducted by country, course subject, and/or the following course types: certificate program, conferences/symposia, continuing education, distance learning, dual degree program, fellowships, graduate programs, medical school programs, postdoctoral programs, seminars, undergraduate programs, visiting scholar programs, and workshops.

Survey data obtained for the production of the International Directory of Bioethics Organizations (Anita L. Nolen and Mary Carrington Coutts, eds. Washington, DC: Kennedy Institute of Ethics, Georgetown University, 1993) provided the initial set of records for the International Bioethics Organizations Database. These records are updated on a periodic basis, and new records are added as information on them is obtained by the National Reference Center for Bioethics Literature.
