Right to Assisted suicide pushing through in the United States. This practice is legalised only in the states of Oregon, Washington and Vermont and by court rulings in Montana and New Mexico. Furthermore, 25 states and the District of Columbia evaluated the legal regulations for assisted suicide in 2015. Additionally, in neighbouring Canada in February 2015, its Supreme Court ruled that terminally ill patients had the right to request assisted dying (JAMA 175, 1640-1641, 2015).
