AIDS cure: another patient is spontaneously healed

AIDS cure wituout any treatment!

A topic of great clinical interest is the case of patients with HIV which is spontaneously cured, on which our Observatory has reported (see HERE).

Now, a 18-year-old French teenager who was infected with HIV at birth appears to be in good health 12 years after she stopped taking antiretroviral treatment. This is the first case in which the disappearance of HIV infection has been proven and maintained so long after having completed treatment. The case could be related with the ‘Mississippi baby’, who was also spontaneously cured of her HIV infection in 2013 following treatment. These two cases could shed light on finding new therapeutic avenues for this serious disease (Nature, 523; 393, 2015).
