Lung cells produced from iPS cells

An article has been published in Nature Biotechnology (32; 84-91, 2014) reporting that lung and airway epithelial cells have been generated from iPS cells, which could have a positive application in regenerative medicine where lungs are affected by any degenerative process, to evaluate possible useful drugs in these cases, and to study human lung development.
