“Bioethics Beyond the Bedside” is a new audio podcast series being launched to raise awareness about the ethical issues in outpatient settings in convenient 15-minute episodes. This format allows the audience to listen to each short program on a computer or a mobile device.
Each podcast is a brief recorded interview with a clinician or administrator exploring ethics dilemmas found in health care settings outside of hospitals. Hosts are Mark Goodman from the Creighton University School of Medicine and Leslie Kuhnel from the Alegent Creighton Health Ethics Center.
Listeners can access the podcasts on this website and can sign up to be notified when new podcasts are available. In the first podcast, “Ethical Challenges in the Outpatient Setting,” the hosts interview Amy Haddad, director of the Center for Health Policy & Ethics and director of the Masters of Health Care Ethics program, to provide some background for the impetus for the series and about the topics we expect to explore in this series.
“Bioethics Beyond the Bedside” is produced by the Center for Health Policy and Ethics at Creighton University and the Ethics Center at Alegent Creighton Health.
