Supporters of the NRCBL
Support for the National Reference Center for Bioethics Literature, a project of Library and Information Services (LIS), Kennedy Institute of Ethics, Georgetown University, is provided by:
- The Andersons established an endowed fund for general LIS support.
- The University provides space for the projects of the LIS component of the Kennedy Institute of Ethics.

- The Kampelman endowment provides for the continued development of the special collection of books, journals, and audiovisuals on Jewish ethics.
- The Kennedy Foundation provided crucial funding for the establishment of the Ethics Library and its first decade of operations.

- An NEH challenge grant resulted in an endowment which now provides general support for LIS operations.
- A 1994 NHGRI grant provided for the establishment of the National Information Resource on Ethics and Human Genetics.
- The Institutes together supported the tenth year of the Bioethics Information Retrieval Project, and in 1992 a two-year Shannon (i.e. Director's) Award supported library operations on genetics and ethics.
- NLM contracts with the Kennedy Institute to operate the Bioethics Information Retrieval Project (1974 to present) and the National Reference Center for Bioethics Literature (1985 to present).
Individual Donors and Publishers
- Publishers of books and periodicals as well as individual authors support the continuing development of the Bioethics Library's collections.
