Home >> NIREHG >> About the NIREHG Project National Information Resource on Ethics and Human GeneticsEstablished on September 1, 1994, with the support of the predecessor of the National Human Genome Research Institute (NIH), the National Information Resource is affiliated with the National Reference Center for Bioethics Literature (NRCBL), the world's largest collection of material relevant to medical ethics and biomedical research. Approximately 15 per cent of the NRCBL collection of over 235,300 volumes and cataloged articles deals with issues in molecular biology and human genetics.
These services are funded by a grant from the National Human Genome Research Institute, a contract with the National Library of Medicine, and other public and private sources. Initial development of NIREHG was made possible by NIH's Shannon Award, 1992-1994. Materials on this site are freely available to individual researchers. Any redistribution or commercial use requires written permission of the Institute. Last updated: July 2008 |
