Title: No format required Free-text searchable

Journal Title or Book Publisher:   While journal and publisher names are spelled out fully in the database, parts of journal titles or names can be entered for retrieval purposes

Subject:

1) Controlled vocabulary from the Subject List (Note: once the Subject List has been opened, it will remain open in the status line until it is closed.)

Click on Browse Subject List and click on the phrase to paste it into the query box. More than one term can be entered in the box at a time and the retrieval will contain cites with either of the terms

  2) NRC classification scheme numbers One or more of the classification scheme numbers can be entered in the query box. Since all citations in the test file are related to genetics or cloning, you can simply search for a non-genetics classification number to get everything in the database on a selected topic, e.g. search 9.4 to see literature on genetics and resource allocation, or 9.3.2 for genetics and managed care.
